If you would like to share information on configuring specific systems for use as a NFS server or information on configurations that work as a NFS server, please send an email to: contact@findclassmusic.net. Please send configuration instructions as a link to another site or as a PDF document. For usable NFS server configurations, information on what low-end systems that work is more useful - high-end servers/routers should have no problem serving as a NFS server for Yamp. Please be detailed in the hardware configuration used - see the table below for examples.

NFS Server Configuration

NFS does not work with FAT32-partitioned drives attached to a Mac. Other operating systems are likely to have issues as well.
Instructions on configuration an Apple Mac (Snow Leoppard or Mountain Lion) to server as a NFS server is contained in the NFS instructions in Yamp.

Yamp uses the same NFS code as XBMC. There is good information on configuring NFS on different computers at: http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=NFS.
